About Us

The Greek Genocide Resource Center (GGRC) is a not for profit online resource created to raise awareness on the Greek Genocide; one of the first, yet lesser known genocides of the 20th century. Established in 2010, the website offers students, researchers and the general public, information which is easily accessible, concise and well referenced. These resources are provided to the public to broaden awareness and to attain wider recognition.

Aside from the website, we have contributed to the publication of a book on the genocide and currently working on similar projects. Our efforts are also an attempt to pay respects to the victims and ensure they are never forgotten.

The GGRC is a member of the Alliance Against Genocide, an organization which works on predicting, preventing, stopping and punishing genocide and other forms of mass murder. The Alliance is made up of over 90 organizations worldwide.

Our mission is to raise awareness of the Greek Genocide by collating resource material and making it more accessible.

Our aim is to see the Greek Genocide taught in schools alongside other genocides. Part of our work therefore involves donating reading material to teaching institutions.

In the spirit of reconciliation the Greek Genocide Resource Center acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

The GGRC acknowledges the financial support of C. Patralis and I. Fidanakis.

Book donations

As of August 2022, the GGRC has donated over $AU500 in reading material to teaching institutions worldwide. View a list of donations here.
